Fishy Fun

For my birthday, we spent the day at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Let's cut to the chase - photos!

Fernando got to pet some rays. They're soft and fuzzy like carpet.
Paloma wanted to hug the fish.
Gimme an "ooooohhh".
This must be the friendliest shark EVER!
Jellyfish float around like underwater angels.
Admiring bigger swimmers.
Welcome to the lagoon...the shark lagoon!
Baby Jaws swims away from Baby P. That's right, sucka!
The lorakeets are huge chirpers! Now that I think about it, what are they doing at the aquarium? These two are in love.
These teeth just might do some damage.
More ray petting.
Sea lions like to get their tan on. I wonder what SPF they use.
Baby mermaid sighting!
Thanks, aquarium! Wish we could have spent more time in the LBC!

Zippity Doo Da

YES! We got free tickets to go to Disneyland and California Adventure thanks to my cousin JC's new father-in-law, who works at the famous park. To visit both parks, it costs a mere $97. Jeez! There's an economic crisis happening, people! Nevertheless, the throngs don't stop coming, and the Disney experience is more stellar than ever. Sorry, but you cannot help but feel utter joy once you park your car in their Disney lot. Wheeeeeeee.....!

We spent our day with JC and her new family (weddings pics to come later), but the main event of this trip was to celebrate little Jasmine's fourth birthday, who loves loves LOVES Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. You shall see...dreams do come true at Disneyland!

Give me an "R" for Ruiz!
An "A" for Ancheta!
Some beauty sleeps in this castle behind them.
This is a "before" picture at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Before what? Before Jazzy gets dolled up to become transformed into Princess Jasmine herself.
Beep! Beep! Beep! Her fairy godmother is paging her.
In the dressing room with the oufit picked out.
Jasmine's new grandparents gave her the makeover as a birthday present because they love her so much.
Picking out the 'do.
A girl must have a good pair of shoes.
Dudes can get done over too.
Sound the trumpets! The birds are ready to pull the curtains for the new Jasmine to check herself out.
Taking a picture with Bambi.
In the magic pumpkin too!
Posing with her grandma.
And who else? Princess Jasmine and Aladdin themselves. Ahhh!!
We mounted a Jungle Cruise boat afterwards.
Paloma was amused.
Next up! Ariel's Grotto, a restaurant inside California Adventure where the princesses come out to greet the guests. Here's a group pic with Miss Ariel herself.
The Sleeping Beauty.
Belle!
Getting a hug from Cinderella.
For now, Paloma's more interested in her food than any princess. We also met up with our friends, Kim and Rob, at California Adventure.Me, Kim, and Sweet P in A Bug's Land.
Me and P in front of Monsters, Inc. Where's Mr. Wazowski?
Back in Barcelona. Just kidding! It's just a Gaudi-inspired backdrop.
More to come!

Random California Chillin': Part Uno

We're here! After a forced overnight stopover in Newark two weekends ago, we were exhausted and looking forward to head out West. So here we are chillin' in Calfornia. Literally! Coming from 80 degree weather with high humidity, we packed our shorts and sleeveless tops hoping for a more comfortable summer. But it's proven to be cooler in Southern California so far. Still comfortable though! Here's a few random shots from our stay. California love!!

Making a grandparents-and-Paloma sandwich at LAX.
Discovering the mirrored coffee table.Ah, I do remember my own childhood days staring at myself.
O, possum! Dad caught another one, but don't worry, folks. Mr. Possum lives on!
Enjoying the new car seat.
Paloma is fine-tuning her table skills.
It was my Auntie Nora's 70th birthday, celebrated at a seafood restaurant.
Hot couple in the house! Lola Osma and Lolo Cirilo are in their...90s!
I also met up with my gals for some yum-yum sushi.
3G. Triple generation of women shot! Where else...waiting at Claim Jumper, of course.
Oh, and, uh...I also turned 33 (!). My cousin Haydee and her husband Daniel treated us for some Mexican grub!
My cousin Haydee. Maybe Paloma was a little miffed that she missed out on the Mexican food since she practically goes everywhere with me at home.
Next cuisine? Thai! Sweet P burns off the pad thai in the parking lot with Kim.
Armilyn suspected Alex might be racking up long distance calls on Paloma's phone.
Enjoying the shade of angel's trumpet in the garden.
More posts in queue!
