Feliz Septimo Cumplemes!

It's that time! Yes, Paloma is now 7 months and it feels like time is just flying by. One great thing about her getting older is that she can play well by herself now, and I can get a lot more done around the house. It DOES get easier. Yay!

Our monthly excuse to buy a cake.
New year, new 'dos.My favorite 'do so far.
She got a free crown from the supermarket for "Los Reyes" on January 6.
Like father, like daughter.
Some leisurely reading.
Ah, these feet. Don't walk yet...I'm not ready!
Fer's former roommate, Marcelo, dropped by to meet our Sweet P.
I bought this rocking snail that plays our favorite song "You are my Sunshine".
She wants more whirled peas. And more world peace!
Do you see two pearly whites cutting through her gums? Where's the dental floss? I see some veggies in between those tiny things!

Fer's 34th

Saturday was Fer's big 3-4! Paloma and I surprised him with a nice sign and some gifts when he got up. Aren't we ladies great? ;-)
It was a cooold day, but we had go downtown to see the city. Paloma is showing off her "warmest jacket ever" in the metro. (Thanks, Kim and Rob!)
We headed to Plaza Catalunya.
The infamous wandering peckers often hang out in search for some crumbs.
A snoozing Paloma with palomas. (Note: Paloma means "dove" or "pigeon" in Spanish, and our intention of naming our daughter with the former, obviously!)
Pigeons in flight.
Holy macaroni! This is a big one.
Katya, Rafa, and Pau dropped by to share their birthday wishes. Smile, babies!
Improvised candles. That's three individual candles with the number four. The big 34!
Family pic! Some solid-eating kid wanted some cake.
Finally, we had a family Skype conversation with the babies' grandparents. Fun times!

Sevilla Holidays 2009 - Part II

The second edition is in! We arrived back to Barcelona late Sunday night after a 10-day holiday in Sevilla. (Thanks again, Katya, for picking us up from the airport!) It feels great to be back and starting the new year fresh. We finally got all of our suitcases stored away neatly for our next trip. Welcome, 2010! Bring it on!

During our stay, my mother-in-law often made a beautiful setting for a meal.
Never been done before! Paloma's godmother, Isabel, managed to hold both kids while standing up.
The power couple. Pau and Paloma made a pact: cousins forever!
Fer and Mr. P.
What's this? Paloma anticipates her gift!
Fernando's little cousins, Felix and Alvaro, with the rugrats.
Me and our happy-go-lucky nephew.
Paloma's at that stage where she has an insatiable need to put everything in her mouth.
After days and days of rain, we finally came out and took a walk around the city. Hallelujah! Fer and Sweet P in front of a temporary sculpture outside city hall.
The majestic cathedral.
By Alcazar.
Time to rest. A beautifully tiled bench in a quaint plaza.
Sevilla is known for its beautiful ceramics.

Orange trees and the Cathedral - that is Sevilla!
The cathedral again + arch.
A pretty little corner of the historic Sevilla.

I might add that I was shooting around the city in manual mode, thank you very much!
More family time! Cousin Dani and Beatriz swung by.
Their awesome kids, Maria and little Dani.
Maria loved following Paloma around. She even lent her a headband. You like?
Friends Rafa and Manolo.
I got a chance to see my friend Rocio, the gal who caught my bouquet at our wedding. Miss that girl!
More wedding nostalgia. Rodrigo was our ring bearer and also Fernando's neighbor. He held Paloma like a pro.

His fabulous mom, Luisa, and Rodrigo's friends.

That's all, folks!
