A Few Family Shots

Last Saturday, we took another trip out to Sant Boi. Fernando's mom, Juana, was also in town staying with Rafa and Katya. We took these fun pictures at a small park.

Visitors!

Two weekends ago, our very good friends Caitlin and Dani came from Seville to visit and meet our little one. (They are also recently engaged....New York 2010, woohoo!)
Two men and a baby.
The engaged couple in front of Gaudi's La Pedrera.
We found a quaint cafe in Gracia called La Nina.
To die for! We shared these fluffy cookies with thick, hot chocolate. Sinful! They also had lots of board games, and I got to play my first game of dominoes. I know!
Dinner time! Paloma singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler.
Girly shot.
Dani practicing for his future, future role. Hehe...
Little Miss was so tired, but Caitlin could keep her entertained. And Paloma looooves Caitlin.
After all the walking around that weekend, this girl was beat.
Major breakthrough. She found her fingers to suck on, and after this weekend, she can now fall asleep in her stroller. Hallelujah!!!

Feliz Cuarto Cumplemes!

Our baby is 4 months old! Is it possible to already feel nostalgic about a moment that you're presently in? I imagine myself in the future fondly missing these precious times we spend with her. If only I could freeze time...

A soothing fountain by a park near our house. She fell asleep in her sling after this. Coincidence?
We're working on pushups.
Drooling on dad during swing time.
This is becoming their signature shot. Fernando takes advantage while she lets him.
Her growing hair catches wind.
She loves New York.
The smiles and laughs melt our hearts.

Family Time

Oh my gosh, my blogging debt is huge!! Time for catch up! Two weekends ago, Paloma and her and their lovely parents went to Sant Boi to see her cousin Pau and his lovely parents. Family time!

We went for a walk along the river with the kiddies.
We crossed the polka dot bridge.
Parts of the walk was lined with graffiti.
We walked back to Katya and Rafa's house. She loves spending time with Tita Katya!
Play time! Pau was nice enough to share his gym with his cousin. She loved it!
Fer with our handsome nephew.
The cousins chatting it up on the couch.
Family pic! Lately Paloma's been distracted by her new discovery - her hands.
Our nap-deprived baby finally took a snoozer in the sling on the way back to the train. Poor baby!

Red Bull Air Race

Life has been happening around us, but I've taken a bit of a blogging break. We've had numerous visits, but my lazy hands haven't been able to post them (and I have no pictures of these happenings!). Just so I don't feel guilty anymore, (1) Ellaine, my high school buddy stopped by the city. It's been fifteen years years since I've seen her. I know, I'm old! (2) Juan Pablo and Maider came in from their adventurous trip to Croatia. You heard right, Croatia! (3) We met up with cousin Pau and the fam downtown yesterday. He slept for over two hours with the bustling noises around him. He amazes me!

Sooo...yesterday we checked out the Red Bull Air Race here on the Barcelona waterfront. It's a weekend international aeronautic competition where pilots compete to prove speed and precision.

There were said to be 800,000 spectators at the grand event.
Paloma decided to feel sleepy while the deafening planes whizzed by.
These pilots have hairline precision. They race against the clock to complete an obstacle course full of turns between these air gates, or pylons.
"I feel the need...the need for speed!"
Pictures of fancy tricks that my point-and-shoot camera can't handle, but really, it was impressive!
Who won? A Brit! USA didn't even place the top three. Nor Spain. Boooo!
On the Paloma front, there are some milestones taking place. She's interested in and can hold light toys!
But more importantly, she can hold her head up now, giving Mom and Dad a bit of a break. Father and daughter at VIPs last night. Yay for milestones!
