The Bump - Five Months

While I've been showing for awhile now, I figure I'd share with our faraway friends and family how my pregnancy is progressing along. Nothing much to report, which I guess is good news! This second time around, I'm showing earlier and enjoying those nice elastic maternity pants. Oh yeah! The important thing is the my doctor says I'm at a healthy weight and everything looks A-okay. I'm at 18 weeks (but according to What to Expect, I'm at the beginning of a "pregnancy" time of five months), so I suppose I'll update monthly that way.

Because Paloma also interacts with some younger siblings of her classmates, she's really excited to become a big sister. She calls our new addition "my baby", as in her baby. So sweet! And she asks me a few times a day, "Mommy, what my baby says?" As in, "What's my baby saying right now?" Yesterday she said that we were having twins - the one that's in my belly, and her favorite baby doll, the one she named Baby. Haha!

In Spanish, gorda can mean "fat" or "girl with a large pregnant belly". This doesn't do well to your self-esteem! Hmm. Baby bump doesn't look too big here, no?
I guess this is what I really look like to people. Get ready for some major chica gorda soon!
Your bump can be as big as your clothes allow you to show (or not). See? I'm tiny!
See you all soon!
