Another Museum Day

Yesterday we went to MACBA, or the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona. It was the last day for two particular exhibitions, which we were glad we caught before it drifted away back into artland.
I love the white, minimalist feel of the interior.
This was on the wall. How modern art of them.
The first exhibition was by Thomas Bayrle. I think this artist is on to something. He takes repeated images and forms one large, overall image. This concept has been done recently, but nothing like I've seen it here. I think these are TV screens that form the woman's face.

He was obsessed with the urban.
Upclose.
They wallpapered some of his art on the ramps and walls. Below is the craft workshop for kiddies.
I snuck a picture of this interactive piece by Cildo Meireles. We had to sign a waiver before entering. It's a labyrinth of different types of walls, but the visitor has to stepped over broken glass. Artists.
We took a breather and stepped out onto the second floor terrace. Even their chairs, draped with iron, are artful.
These blow-ups of figures popping out of books are fun. They were outside of the museum. I think they were there to invite children to read.

This baby is getting a taste of the culture that awaits her. She is gonna be artistic and worldly.
